Sculpture kit ‘Press Moulds’

Description

This is a set of 5 press moulds is a development from one of my life size sculptures. These moulds give you so much freedom to explore the creation of a human face, simply press clay into the plaster moulds, gently remove the clay with the imprint upon it and begin to build up the face secure in the knowledge that if at any point you mess up or need to change the face you can simply press out another part. For all my students who use this press mould method, the interesting thing is how to place each part to construct the face …what makes a beautiful face… ? These moulds will give you a good starting point but there is no reason why you can adjust the parts by adding some clay… making each press of clay your own! You can use any type of clay with these moulds, clay will naturally release from plaster.
