Everything you need to create your own fabulous bronze finished clay hare sculpture at home!

Coming from the Jo Garden Art studio where we usually have in person workshops (see the ‘hare sculpture workshops’ and ‘two day sculpture workshops’ here on the Craft Courses website), this kit has been lovingly put together by Jo.

No previous clay sculpture experience is expected as Jo will show you each step in detail. The head, ears and tail can be moved into whatever pose you would like before you apply the clay. Names can be scribed on the base of your hare to make it even more personal.

You will usually take about 90 minutes to sculpt the hare using the quality air-drying clay over the unique armature. Your hare is either left to air-dry over 24-48 hours, or popped into an oven for 90 minutes! You then use the provided paint and gilt cream to evolve your hare into a beautiful bronze finish.

Also on sale, under the ‘all listings’ option, is a cost saving ‘party’ pack for 4 people. So your family or friends can enjoy creating hares together in the morning – perhaps having lunch whilst they are ‘cooking’ in the oven’ – then finishing the hares in the afternoon. Fabulous fun and enjoyed by any age group (please note young children must be supervised). Jo guarantees no two hares will be the same!

Please note – the kit should be made within 4 months of purchase. These wonderful hares are for enjoying inside as the air-drying clay prefers not to endure soggy weather 😉

What you will need
